Our Legacy: A Century of Technical Skill
Welcome to the Technical High School (THS) Bahawalpur, a landmark institution and a pillar of technical education in our community. Our story is one of enduring commitment to practical knowledge, spanning over a century. It was the only Govt. Technical High School that opted for a uniform for all students to keep discipline.
The Early Roots (1911)
Our institution's legacy begins in the era of the Bahawalpur Princely State. The roots of GHS Technical can be traced back to 1911 with the establishment of the early Bahawalpur Industrial School. This visionary institute was founded to provide vocational training in essential trades, laying the groundwork for technical education in the region.
A New Era of Nation-Building (1954)
A new, formal chapter began in 1954. Following partition, as part of a forward-thinking national vision, the Technical High School was established at its prominent Farid Gate location. This initiative was driven by the urgent need to build a skilled workforce for a new, developing nation. The school was designed to be a modern hub for technical learning, merging a strong academic foundation with specialized, hands-on training.
